Dogs do not act out of spite or revenge, and do not feel guilt for their actions.
Unlike humans, they do not have morals or a sense of right and wrong. It is important
not to get angry with them for things they are incapable of understanding.
For Your Dog’s Sake! was set up by Emily Larkin to provide behavioural dog training
services to owners of pet dogs in the North London area. Whilst they may be our
best friends, dogs are just dogs, and need to be taught how to behave in an appropriate
manner in all situations. The aim is to improve the relationship between dog and
owner, whilst giving the owner the skills to control their dog and teach it to be
a well mannered member of their family.
Owning a dog is a huge responsibility, but it can also be incredibly rewarding. We
owe it to our dogs to provide them with the training they need to become happy, healthy
and balanced members of our society. A well mannered, happy dog that is accepting
of other animals and people is a joy to own.
Emily uses motivational, reward based methods to keep dog training fun for both you
and your dog. Dogs learn best when they are motivated and happy, so Emily’s methods
do not include harsh punishments or pain causing devices. She does however use food,
toys and sweet talk!
Services include puppy visits, pre-ownership visits, new rescue dog visits , problem
solving visits as well as one to one training tailored specifically to your requirements.
Every dog and situation is different, so please don’t hesitate to contact us to
discuss your needs.
